This conference is the sequel of "The first Cairo International Conference on High Energy Physics" (CICHEP I) that was held in the period 9-14 January 2001 and "The first GUC Workshop on High Energy Physics" (GUC-HEP Workshop) that was held at GUC in the period 9-13 January 2005. The main theme of the conference is theoretical, phenomenological and experimental aspects of the presently most active field of High Energy Physics. The CICHEP II aims to bring together scientists from universities and research institutes from all around the world to discuss current developments and new trends, results, and perspectives in the field of High Energy Physics.

CAIRO
Cairo is the capital of Egypt (cradle of civilization and the heart of the middle east) and is well known for its heritage from Pharonic, Roman, Coptic, Islamic and modern eras. The Pyramids and Sphinx stand witness of the very early civilization. The Egyptian museum exhibits some of the treasures of this civilization. Some of the oldest Coptic churches, including the famous Hanging Church (El Muallaqa), Dedicated to the Virgin Mary (4th century), and the Coptic Museum are interesting places to visit. Cairo is often called the city of 1000 minarets. Mosques of Amr Ebn El-A'as (1st in Africa) , Al-Azhar (Fatimides), Sultan Hassan (Mamluki), Mohamed Aly, and the Islamic museum are some of the wonderful Islamic places to look at. The old city is famous for its oriental bazaars like Khan El-Khalili where traditional hand-made items are sold. Sakkara is 35 km to the south, where the 1st step Pyramids is situated. The deadline for Registration is the 31st of December 2005. | ||||||||||||||||
